Winter Sunshine

The day dawned bright and sunny so went for a run up Deeside then up to the (closed) snow gates on the Cairn O'Mount road - very tempting to just drive under them to go higher and have a play in the snow - then back to Deeside for a run along the south bank of the Dee towards Ballater till I reached one of the bridges that was damaged in the floods last week so another U-turn and back down to Dinnet and home via Banchory. Beautiful day with an interesting mix of road conditions; dry and clean through to frozen mud with occasional patches of snow and slush just to keep the concentration going. Bit of effort required getting the three wheeler clean afterwards with the bit of road where I hosed it down freezing up nicely as I dried it off, think it might get a bit cold tonight.

Great pics - thanks for posting. I would have been tempted to sneak under the gates too. evil I wonder if there really is CCTV in operation?

I've not had M3W out for three weeks. It lives in a neighbours shed which I have to approach up a grassy bank. It rained for 6 days & as it is so wet I fear I might not get back in. The water was running off the field behind my place across the garden & round the garage. I had the back door blocked with sods & garage stayed dry.
A check this morning & the car is fine but the road up to the neighbour has sheet ice in places. One wheel drive up an icy hill is probably not on

Tim
