Anyone tried fixing a couple of fold up cycles on the luggage rack ? Could do with them when going to classic lemans as it will reduce all that pacing about !

I made a bike carrier for my +4 so that I can carry a small tandem across the back of the car. The carrier attaches via a bracket made from two square section tubes bolted to the chassis (Williams carried out the work). The carrier itself is made from two smaller section square section tubes that slide into the chassis mounted tubes and this then gives you two rear facing bars that you can mount a standard bike rack on (effectively two roof bars). I'm sure this approach could be used for your bikes.

The other advantage of this approach is that you can still use the rack for luggage.

Below is link to the original post and photos.

Thats a Brompton on Kens rack.

I am just about to buy one ( or maybe two!) to go on the back of the Roadster.

A great idea for getting about at all manner of shows/ events etc.

Having had a good look at the market Bromton seem to be the go to brand!

Neil, I think you'd struggle to get two on the rack.

I strapped a racing bike to the rack of a 4/4, just took the wheels out.

It was a nice evening and I had the choice of a drive in the Morgan or go and ride a time trial…… solution….. do both.

It raised a few eyebrows and looked like the result of a hit and run!!!

I used a standard bike rack on the luggage rack when I took the Roadster to Williams for service last year, and cycled home. i worked well.
