Winter Sunshine

The day dawned bright and sunny so went for a run up Deeside then up to the (closed) snow gates on the Cairn O'Mount road - very tempting to just drive under them to go higher and have a play in the snow - then back to Deeside for a run along the south bank of the Dee towards Ballater till I reached one of the bridges that was damaged in the floods last week so another U-turn and back down to Dinnet and home via Banchory. Beautiful day with an interesting mix of road conditions; dry and clean through to frozen mud with occasional patches of snow and slush just to keep the concentration going. Bit of effort required getting the three wheeler clean afterwards with the bit of road where I hosed it down freezing up nicely as I dried it off, think it might get a bit cold tonight.

Lovely to see, here in China the pollution is so bad it is like living in constant fog despite -14c.

Back home Friday but I may need new lungs!

Yep good luck John, went there once for work, and never again. I have just had a thought..... I saw 4 people on a moped riding along the road, so I wonder how many those guys can get in a three wheeler !!!!! scared

Thankfully I am not back until end of Feb...Thailand next week. Much more agreeable.

First time I went to China ('99) it was like a sepia photo going to the shipyyard. Atmospheric with the colouring and bicycles but you knew it was bad for you!
