Hi all, I reported a while back that my S1 had vibrations above 70mph. They have got worse over the last 2000 miles but here's the interesting diagnostic: turn steady left and it goes away, turn steady right and it gets worse.
Wheel bearing(s)?
What do you think, and if it's a wheel bearing anyone know how much a dealer will cost to fix it?

If it behaves as described, it could be the left wheel bearing. Replacing is usually a 30 minutes job.
But it's hard to say from here... because, rather than vibrations, a worn wheel bearing produces a "wheeeee" sound that changes the tone with speed.

No "wheee" sound, just, quite serious, vibrations above 70 mph.

Wheel bearings, if you have a basic mechanical knowledge are really easy to do. Either that or it could be off camber? maybe worth getting wheel alignment checked (usually £20) and will eliminate that as a problem first, cheaper than bearings if it is them.
usually wheel bearings go at same time though.

are uou talking wheel alignment or balancing? For a vibration like this I would think either balancing or maybe a dmaged tire (would also show up while balancing the wheel) especially if the car had been park for a long time without moving
