Can't understand the odd remarks about "snobbery" and "more important things to worry about". This thread is fun - which is what it should be as we are leaning on the bar of The Malvern Arms.

Same again when you're ready, luv...

This discussion is somewhat biased towards the gentlemen of this Forum. wink
What about the ladies who accompany us?
The lovely Lady Budster can look very good in both a baseball (or in her case a sailing cap) and a country flat cap. A good sailing caps coming complete with an attached lanyard. boat
I will try and find some suitable photographs.

"I have a couple of Tilleys and a straw hat but I wouldn't want to lose my Tilleys, and a straw hat looks too hillbilly."

Dave i cannot imagine you wearing a straw hat with a couple of hurricane lamps swinging off the back………….

I wear whatever suits the weather, conditions or my mood.
I have a range of headgear...
Baseball caps. Taffmog is favourite but now faded......just like me? One has a flap to protect my neck in sun.
Woollen bobble hats - North Cape charity one is my favourite.
"Darth Vader hat...nickname for a waterproof lined hat with peak and pull down sides.
Wool and fake fur hat with earflaps. Bought in Estonia in a market.
Flat caps.
Marvan Trust North Cape run is the usual hat in cooler weather.
Hat with flaps in really cold weather.
Baseball/flat in sunny times..
swmbo is not a hat person. She wears a snood or scarf. This helps when prezzie buying! A woman can never have too many accessories!!

I have driven with my Tilley when sunny and it felt suprisingly secure and it does have a chin strap.

They do come in different sizes though (heads n hats)
