Well fancy that, I have not logged in to the forum for a long time and I find a a Hobart connection.
I live at Dunalley on the east coast of Tasmania and have just imported my 2007 Green 3.0 Roadster. She arrived in Tasmania on new years eve 2015 in perfect order. We have driven this car on just about every country lane in Britain and down through Spain Portugal and France. As soon as I can get her registered we will be out and about on the glorious Morgan roads of Tasmania.

H Tim. Nice to hear from you. Dunalley is a nice spot and you have some great roads down there, I love the drive to and around Port Arthur, and the loop south from Hobart through Kettering and Cygnet is superb too. We did Port Arthur in the Elise last year. I am from Launceston in the north, but I'm sure we will have plenty of opportunities to meet up, that's part of the fun of owning cars like these  Will call and swap details soon Cheers John

Tim,
Was this a simple case of importing your own car from the UK or did you buy it and import it. Who is providing the compliance plate is it someone in Tassie? Lots of questions I know, but we definitely need some new more modern Morgan blood in this country.

Yes it is a personal import. The car was purchased in the UK 3 years ago and used by us each summer. The import process is incredibly complicated and prohibitive but we battled through it.The compliance is authorised by the Tasmanian Govt Transport Inspectors after the issue of a inspection certificate by a accredited vehicle inspection centre.
