Took mine out to the factory today...thought it need a treat! You've probably frightened it with the thought of tweaked 4/4 again!

Nice run out to Dartington Hall and return, nothing exotic seen but I had a Defender count and 15 seen in the 30 miles all mud splattered and "singing" as they went along with their nobbly tyres on and one trailoring a Scrambler. Great run out and reminded me about this saying from the Morgan Italia f/b site.

Yes, it was a lovely drive home in the sunshine from Pickersleigh road, the B4208 from Malvern down to Gloucester is a great little road.
Although I had been mightily impressed by the ARP4, I found myself reflecting on the way home that actually, I'm very happy with mine, I've spent the last 15 years getting it the way I want it, and it would seem a bit mean to dump it now for a younger, glitzier model...

Not mine but I drove the 1947 DHC at Richard Thorne's today. Perfect day for it. I have decided against buying because, as someone on here has said, she is very narrow. Driving position would probably give me a sore back after a few miles as well.
Richard says he knows someone with a +4 DHC, who he thinks might be selling, so he will look into that. Extremely pleasant couple of hours chatting with Richard, a very nice man and very knowledgeable. Laughed about his repeat advertising on Dave with Wheeler Dealers.

No but I've done an oil & filter change, checked & cleaned the brakes and cleaned the wheels, Prepped ready for some new tyres next Monday. The balance weights damage the powder coating on the wheels, so I've had to do some touching up. I'm going for Vredestein Sprint Classics. One of the Avons still has plenty of tread so I may decide to pop it on e-bay, I need to take a view once it's off the car.

Not today. I mucked with the MX4 super sports. Started it, ran it up to temp, poked at a few other things, but alas I didn't leave the garage. I did get the 4/4 kingpins back from the machinist. Old bushes out, new ones in. Tomorrow to reinstall.
Cheers,
Mark
