When I purchased my car (2012 4/4 1600) from Ledgerwoods, I was told the clutch pedal was designed to be a footrest as well. Maybe why it is so stiff!

I asked the same question but was assured that it was in fact designed to be a footrest as well!

Perhaps that's why it has a spring on it. My roadster has a heavy clutch without the spring connected so I've often wondered why there's a spring there at all..... Nick

That is what the heavy spring is for in the base of the pedal to stop you riding the clutch without you realising - never tried the clutch pedal without that spring it has a Hydraulic cylinder so it should not be heavy as a normal cable operated clutch?
Slow traffic really is a pain in the foot in mine, one can seem the sense in an automatic Mog - somewhere to rest that foot and no pain!

Nice job Jay, as Peter said, I do not see it work on a LHD. The discomfort I have ( old guys and their problems?) is left knee against the door, solved that by putting in sponge in the door pocket. Another problem got solved by Cain's lumbar suport, finally I can sit properly in my Mog. Cheers, Bert
