It's entirely possible to rest one's foot on the clutch pedal without depressing it at all, and given that there's a bit of free movement before the clutch starts actuating, I can't see how one would wear out the thrust races by so doing?

I've been doing it for 15 years without a problem on my 4/4 with cable clutch actuation. Maybe with other cars it might be different I suppose.

That'll be the first mod done by the ARP4 right hand drive owners then hide

I was under the impression that the ARP4 has more leg room - did any daddylonglegs find that to be the case?
