If I had wanted modern day handling, high power and all the electrical driving aids I would have bought a merc or bmw, I bought the Morgan because of the traditional suspension, I like the 1950's driving style, I have a modern car for the chores and a classic for social and fun.

Me too and my everyday car is also a 2013 Fiesta.

As for modern stuff on a Morgan - Exterior door handles!! Who needs them? IMHO an unnecessary modern extravagance. oldgit wink

yes I don't really want to change the fundamental quirkiness of my car, I like it pretty much as it is.. that's why I bought it!

I would be more concerned about the changes needed to comply with ever increasing regulations in manufacturing. Surely the simplicity of the traditional Morgan's that we all love are under threat and its days are numbered?

Just how much longer can we drive around in cars part made of wood, no airbags, crumple zones, solid steering columns, roll bars, lack of side impact bars etc etc... yes I know its said that the current build structure is helpful in an accident but it wont comply for much longer...enjoy while you can!!

My Plus 8 doesn't have them either through choice, they also spoil the lines! frown2

Also no door handles is part of my security arrangements, you'd be amazed how many people fail to see how you get in to the car!! laugh2

Some might argue that it started when they introduced the fourth wheel.

The internal combustion engine was the dodgy step, we should get back to the nice electric cars that preceded it...oh, wait a minute...

Insurers should offer a reduction for no door handles! grin2
