On a more serious note I used to be pretty handy when it came to reversing with trailers - even neatly reversing down our inclined driveway a few years back - IE reversing round a downhill corner smile

It was even more amusing in the Sprinter where the total train length was stupidly long. Great fun

My Dad had a market garden so I learnt to back trailers behind a Ransomes caterpiller tractor when I was 8 - held me in good stead ever since! Not that you would be able to allow that in today's world of Health & Safety Police!

One of life's great frustrations is trying to back a 4 wheeled trailer behind a caterpillar tractor. I'm not talking about tandem wheels but the sort of trailer that has the front wheels that turn with the draw-bar. It's difficult enough to back a 4 wheeled trailer at any time without adding a cat to the equation.

I agree that would be very difficult! I take my hat off to the farmer's wife who delivers tipper lods of logs to us with a twin axle trailer behind her Range Rover. She's very skilled at it and particularly where we store the logs is not the easiest for accessibility.

"not sure how fast we're going - pretty fast" I assume they'd not be allowed to do this in the UK.

I can't do trailers at all. My quad bike and small log trailer is like an episode of Mr Bean - I can reverse about 2 feet before it all goes horribly wrong.
