Well someone was out in Melbourne yesterday. Stuck in a huge traffic jam on Elliott avenue and what should come the other way but an old english white Morgan.....made me quite envious! Anyone on TM?

Jays,

Didn't see you in Melbourne, my wife and I did see a Morgan down on Mornington peninsula on Wednesday (Hello Greg if you are a member)and another in the Yarra Valley yesterday. Had 6 days just doing nothing in Melbourne, back in Perth today. Did go round and look at the 3 wheeler at the dealer, and was treated to a rare display of Lamborghinis and Ferraris.

The actual number of clicks available to full soft may be a variable so coming back up from full soft may have a different damping setting on one side to the other..

I discovered this by accident. Starting from soft, the knobs on each damper will rotate different amounts before the first click, which is a soft click. Each subsequent click gets harder. So because the first click is so difficult to detect, I click to the top, counting as I go, then click down.....................

Thanks both for sharing this important info. I always wondered how to "catch" the first soft clicks. Your approach makes a lot of sense. I will give it a try on my Avo's, of course keeping in mind the total number of clicks counting backwards.

Glorious sunshine today could not resist a run from Dulverton on perfect Morgan traffic free roads through Bridgtown to Wheddon Cross, Exford and over the moor to Porlock. Up and down Porlock hill. Some glorious views from the top of the moor.

Five oktas of cu and a light northerly. The temp above zero. A heap of work on the computer. Can computer files bulge? If they could mine would. The Kifox has not flown for two weeks and the Mog has not been out of pyjamas (dust cover) for a week. Work or play? The work ethic side of my brain now engages in an appalling row with the wtf side of my brain. A détente cordiale is negotiated and so I work until 12 then release the mog from the cover, slide back the complaining and ancient steel garage doors and we're off, top down, side windows in place.

The airfield is buzzing and miraculously there are no planes to push around in order to release the Kitfox from its lair. It's an aimless flight, heading northish and then westish following the Czech border to the town of Retz. We circle the lovely town square and monastery (been in there, filming) , find an open space to practice steep turns and then an hour later we are lining up on 07, rolling the mains on for a wheel landing and holding the tail up until it runs out of effect and plonks down of its own accord. This makes the pilot look better than he is but nobody notices. They always notice when I turn one landing into several.

The hangar remains eerily empty so the Kitfox is soon wearing its pyjamas and, expecting the worst, mog and me join Friday afternoon traffic heading into the city. A little stop and go traffic but nothing to ruin the mood and mog gets back into pyjamas and a promise of a bath and rub down very soon.

If you are feeling nauseous please turn off now. Dionysius is receiving a libation, the fire will be lit and the lovely swmbo will soon walk through the door. Some days are a bit better than others.

Seems you had a very nice afternoon!
I had to get the red 4/4 out of the garage too. The low temperature gets lots of cold air into the engine. Sounds great with the new manifold and the open cone filter...
I can't compete with your Kitfox but I did have fun with the Mog on the ground.

Be careful when playing with Dionysus!

Yes it was a good one and you're right, there's a dark side to Dionysius. But what a beautiful day. Looking forward to seeing and hearing the performance improvements on that lovely red 4/4.

Oh and I've just seen the handiwork of Dionysius in that post. Entente cordiale is one thing, Détente another, and didn't need the cordiale. But you get my drift.

Yes!

Great drive into the Cotswolds with my son.

Stopped in Stowe and had Brunch in Huffkins ( recommended!!).

Just as we entered the Square a 65 plate 4/4 in Cream came towards us we both waved furiously! Anyone on here??

Had a good look round a great shop in the Square which has a wide collection of Racing car prints and limited edition prints - very tempted x a great one of Graham Hill at Monaco!

A tad chilly - but bright and sunny run.

Nice early run down to Powderham Castle to meet some fellow (and ladies) Fossilmoggers for an excellent breakfast, then on to Dunkeswell airfield for coffee. 125 miles of mostly deserted back roads. Well done Graham for organising. joy
