I have had a subscription from the word go but I have recently been debating whether or not to renew it (due now) or go for the electronic version. I had pretty much decided to let both it and my MSCC subscription go this year. I really get my fix from TM and for the MSCC it is hard to see a benefit for me as I live too far away. I probably read less than 50% of both MOG and Miscellany.
So from me it is bye 👋

I was going to write-in with my 'Morgs Prayer' but I don't think I'll bother now

I'll send it into Miss-cell-ell-ell-nanny instead

I've just picked up on this. I was aware that Matti had moved on but not the reason why. I'll be sad to see it go. Apart from a retro motorbike magazine twenty years ago run by Frank Westworth, it's the only magazine where I got to know the people involved.

Shadow directors should be illegal. In Australia they carry the same responsibility as actual directors.

Once a company is insolvent, the company directors responsibility is with the creditors and no longer the shareholders and if a pre pack administration can be shown to help the magority creditors by keeping the business going and continue to trade then it's entirely ethical

Exactly this....

Ethics often do get a little trampled on in pre-packs, but you're quite right. It would be a breach of fiduciary duty not to consider the options and creditors could get 50p in the pound back (for example) eventually.

Having said that, you can let businesses avoid debts and still run for president apparently.

"Trump has never filed for personal bankruptcy. But he has filed four business bankruptcies, which Bankruptcy.com says makes Trump the top filer in recent decades. All of them were centered around casinos he used to own in Atlantic City. They were all Chapter 11 restructurings, which lets a company stay in business while shedding debt it owes to banks, employees and suppliers."

Thanks, Zoitakis.
Glad that my recent renewal of the digital version wasn't money down the pan.
I really enjoy reading it on my iPad.
