When I ordered my M3W over 3 years ago, I also wanted a black luggage rack to match the black roll over bars and black exhaust heat shields. Williams Automobiles, from whom I bought the car, aranged for the factory to have one black powder coated for me. I asume this option would still be available if required.
I can also recommend the longer 280mm fuel sender. Although it may not be more accurate, the car goes further before it reads empty and yet there is still a more than adaequate amount of fuel (probably 50+ miles worth) left in the tank when the "o" appears Many thanks, will have a word with my dealer. Seems like the factory is failing to acknowledge the fuel sender issue, but wonder why as the 280mm one is likely the same price to them. Maybe they got a deal on a batch of 2000 of the shorter ones

The longer sender just means the fuel gauge goes to zero a bit closer to empty.
As others have said simply use the trip meter and fill up after 200 - 230 miles.

@Richard Wood / regarding the black rack: my dealer organized what he said was "the last black rack supplied by the factory", due to quality assurance issues. Nevertheless I had to wait one year to get it delivered (rack ordered at the beginning of 2014, rack delivered july 2015)

I now have a standard stainless one on order to be fitted by my dealer, and will arrange for it to be black powder coated first.

In the M3W parts manual v3.3 the fuel sender is identified as part # E280004.
Its not unusual in the automotive world for spec changes on individual parts to take place in a production run to provide a single replacement to those fitted to all earlier model versions.
Maybe wishful thinking, but I wonder therefore if 280mm fuel senders are now being factory fitted, and reflected by the above part number.

My Oct15 M3W took 5 gallons to fill from 0% to 100%. So I'm assuming wishful thinking!.

Hi Richard, perhaps if you bought a 280mm sender and sent it to the factory they might fit it for you instead of the 250mm unit. It would save you a job later.
Just a thought but I doubt it.

Even the 280mm reads empty when just ⅔ have been used but much better than the original sender.
