I found the most important this was a long flexible hose attachment !
Makes the job so much easier.

Makes the job so much easier. Hmmmmm..........sometimes a solid one is better...... Please not that the word "stiff"" was not used...I know what some of you are like.... By the way...anyone tried fish oil for lubrication?

I used to have a rigid pipe on my Wanner, many years ago I swapped it for a flexible hose to see if it was better. I quickly decided after a couple of greasing that it wasn't, and that the rigid tube was easier to use as you didn't need two hands.
Every since then, every time I grease the front suspension (about every couple of months or so) I think to myself 'I must put the rigid pipe back on'.
I've been doing this for years - so long now in fact that I'm not entirely sure I can remember where I put the rigid pipe. So I guess it's not that big an issue :-)

Although I still like to 'go under' for a look see and poke about, I cant help but think a remote grease kit might make life easier?
Anyone done so or is it just as messy and tricky??

Steve, I keep thinking about it but haven't got any further as I'm sure having used it I will still be going under to wipe away the excess and generally have a look around.
Here for a good time not a long time!! Reg

They work but in reality it is just as easy to get underneath and you need to see that no grease hits the discs anyway.
My drive is quite steep c 30 deg so if I park at the lip of the garage it is very easy to do

What could be better than lying under the car for half an hour, contemplating the beauty of Harry Morgan's independent front suspension, safe in the knowledge that you're unlikely to be bothered by 'er indoors? Fit a system that allows you to do the job in 5 minutes, and she'll find you a load of other jobs to do to fill the rest of the time!

Remote grease kit fitted to my Mog by previous owner is absolutely brilliant , and with Peter Jenks excellent grease gun which I bought when he changed to a new plus 8 without need for greasing has been a very good buy , thanks Peter !

Another fan of remote greasing kits...easy to fit and leaves no excuse for not regular greasing.
Still lay underneath now and again to check all is well.
Galvanised chassis for ever ?

That's kind of what I was thinking.. not room to swing a cat in my garage (that's envy Tim!) so a grease up is not that easy as I have to move cars and get outside, once underneath I usually cant see bugger all with my varifocals , which often end up skew wiff (is that a word?)and its a fight to do it properly. If I could at least get to the nipples easier (don't say it!) then its at least an improvement on the current situation. Still happy to poke about underneath now and again..
