Went out yesterday on way home in the dark the headlight started rattling,can it be fixed ,or is it the rivets' lose ,

Scott, when I had this it was a combination of the Allen screw on the bezel being a bit loose and the bezel itself not sitting snugly. A couple of bits of foam to pad the bezel and making sure its clipped on correctly and tight sorted mine out.

Edit; just thought, if it's the whole headlight that is rattling about then some careful tightening of the securing nuts might sort it out, but might be best to take the bezel and lens off to have a look inside first.

Scott check the cowl for cracks against the base. This is a common fault as the headlights although looking good are pretty poor practical design.

Might be the rivets Scott , I've had to replace several on each side .

My headlight as a crack around the bottom ,phoned dealer ,never had one of them go ,just must be me then ?

They probably are. There is not much to these lamps. The metal is very thin and one has to strike a delicate balance between the pressure necessary to hold it in place and the pressure needed to crack it.

There are two types of lamps. Cheap ones, £45/50 and expensive ones £90+ which should last a lot longer. Polished stainless probable a lot better than pressed steel.
