Have you thought of having a scooped bonnet fitted like the SS and ARP4? That would allow you to use the longer throttle bodies which must help with the torque.
I had a droning exhaust on my much loved 4/4.....it drove me round the bend on long journeys and I tried a number of bespoke silencers to try to change it. To no avail.

Looks like you have upgraditus like me , doing the TB upgrade will transform the Mog , well done !

I've spent most of the morning fettling and giving the car a thorough clean and polish in preparation for Sunday. I've just come in and read this! You're right, it's next month dammit! I'd forgotten how late in the year the Breakfast Clubs start now, I used to get the first run out in March. The downside of the Member's Meeting I suppose. See you all in May then. ~iw
