John have a proper battery load test carried out on it.
It'll show up a dying one most decent places that sell batteries should do it for free
If you have a break down the aa will even do one if they suspect your battery.
They are more than a simple dvm they pull a high current while measuring the voltage

Latest situation. The battery was left on the CTEK for the week whilst I toured S E Asia.
Disconnecting the CTEK the power was 13.07 V. It is a sealed battery.
With the engine running the voltage was 13.7, but the voltmeter shows just under 12V.
After stopping the battery was 12.98 V.
I think I'll wait a while & maybe look at the earth under the dash & clean it up.

On my 2011 Plus 4 I have suddenly experienced my original battery unable to start the car after 2 weeks inactivity. Is the battery suddenly about to die?
I would have expected longer than 4.5 years from the original battery.
I have just charged in on a Cetec and will check the voltage at the battery.

Sorry to hear that.
These new calcium batteries just die. The write ups all say 5 years but I have had well over 7

I keep thinking that the battery in the Alfa will die but it just keeps going (unlike some other bits). It is still the original battery and now nearly 12 years old.
The car now has over 120,000km and I will probably replace it this year. The current candidate is a BMW X1.
