I use degreaser and handspray to wash the springs. Brake cleaner to clean the discs afterwards. I have some ex Post Office goretex trousers( heavy duty) so need to use it for spring gaiters at some time. Bought from ebay a few yrs ago for gardening etc but rarely used. They are quite baggy so plenty of material! I use a pressure washer on cars but keep a decent distance away, using the lance for lower pressure. It forms a lovely "mist" from a distance for rinseing too.
SBM....how is the Red n Tacky performing?

I spray every thing in sight (incl engine) with "Simple Green". (Strong Detergent). Let it sit overnight and spray again with SG. Use an electric 1600 PSI Pressure Sprayer and use it liberally. Engine, Diff and Front Suspension. I never thought of using chain oil on the rebounds, but sounds like a good idea and I will do so in the future. Of course chain oil on the rear leafs. I pick a warm/hot day as I am sloppy and get water everywhere. BTW: I do not keep My Morgans to Show Room standards. They are drivers and if the 20 foot test is OK that is good enough for Me.

I had my Mog serviced by a very well known, well respected non franchised specialist, collected the car looking pristine. A couple of miles down the road following collection I noticed a wheel bearing rumble unheard before. Some days later I stripped down both front hubs to find they were full of water due to the pristine looking wires having been cleaned with a power washer forcing water beyond the hub seals. Both wheel bearings replaced on both wheels. I now do my own servicing !

I would never use a pressure washer on a morgan. More care is required.

The best reason to not use a pressure washer...and it hasn't been mentioned...is the force of the water can take the paint right off the coils. This exposes the bare metal to rust.
Don't do this.

This is a very good point. My Stihl pressure washer has a couple of lances, one gives a concentrated blast that I wouldn't get anywhere near a car, the other is adjustable down to a fairly gentle spray, and by standing back the pressure is hardly anything. Like everything pressure washers can be very useful, but need to be used sensibly - and in my book using them at high pressure to blast grease and grit from the front suspension isn't one of them. YMMV, of course.
