Thanks for the comments folks. Just on the clean car - that was day 1 which really was a nice day. 200 odd miles in and still sparkling-ish. It was a very different story the next two days with the roads soaking and pouring rain etc but it didn't spoil anything one bit.
Just by the way: we met a green Classic (possibly a Roadster) on Glencoe about 15 miles north of the Green Welly restaurant. Anyone on here? You did wave etc. Early Monday afternoon.
AJSki2fly - you'll enjoy Scotland and if you haven't already been, Northern Ireland has wonderful roads also - and if you have the time, head south and the experience just continues in that great theme.
