Took a nice wee run out to Scotland. Early Belfast - Cairnryan ferry Saturday morning and off up to Granton-on-Spey. Great weather all day. Cold but clear and dry. Lovely. Overnight at our favourite B&B and a nice evening restaurant dinner.
Fabulous breakfast as always and then off to Inverness and out to Skye. Another B&B and a bit of a tour around. The mist and rain prevented us from seeing too much but the bonnet looks great in any weather. We've been to these places many times and sometimes it's just about being there.
Last day and back home via Fortwilliam and Glencoe to Glasgow then on to Cairnryan ferry again. It's always nice to get the car onto the boat and grab a comfy seat. All settled in and the Captain announces that there's an engine fault and we can't set-off until it's rectified. Not only do they get it sorted in 20 mins flat but the boat makes up the time on the crossing and we arrive at our scheduled time!
It's so good when stuff goes right on the last part of any journey, so the ferry event was a great relief - and don't you just love it when you come home and the central heating has packed in! Class!!
First proper run of the Morgan this year and as a bit of a shake-down, it went very well and as always, a great way to get about.
Hope you folks are already into the season events and maybe we'll bump into you along our travels.
The pic is Glenshee ski resort with some walkers arriving back from the mountains. Not much snow left unfortunately.
Nice trip...great in a Morgan. Now....is your car painted in a special Teflon type paint to prevent dirt sticking? That is one clean car for the journey!
