are they self-levelling?

whilst HIDs on 'mainstream' cars must be self-levelling under manufacturers C&U regs, I thought Morgan benefitted from an exemption for small scale production where the vehicle was either so heavy or the suspension so stiff that there was limited deflection on bumps. This same exemption used to apply to retro-fitted HIDs but after market HIDs will now pretty much guarantee an MOT fail.

VERY interesting site..!!

So useful, especially if buying. My son's old Midget went from 97,000 miles to 26,000 in the next test..

The advisories for my Honda run about show that various mechanical issues have actually healed spontaneously over the years.
Fiendish cunning the Japanese...

Thanks for posting Clipper - that's a very useful site. I've added it to my bookmarks.

My Toyota is the same. Its exhaust was deteriorating in 2009 apparently but it's as right as rain now, without any attention!

Very useful site. Looked up our old car and it seems to be being well used, although the last MOT was a fail then a pass - looks like it was taken for a test without any fettling. I always booked the MOT and a service on the same day - Mike Duncan had always got the brakes sorted before the test.

Interesting isnt it. The Fezza failed and MoT because of the spacing of the letters on the number plate!

A gem of a site - I never knew this.

I looked up some of the old cars I have owned (to see if they are still alive), and the rot box classics my father owned.
Amazingly, the Renault Scenic I traded in for 500 quid at 65,000 three years ago, has now done 115,000! shocked2 Proof of life after death.

It also confirmed Archie's previous history.
It was reportedly purchased as a 70th or 75th birthday present to a guy in Rhyl.
In the previous four years it had only done 100 miles each year - maybe he could no longer get in or out of it...a sad tale. sick3

Brilliant find. Thanks for posting the link.

I found out that both my 1985 2CV and my Father's 1973 Volvo 144 are still in use.
