Hello all,
at the Cheltenham Race Course Centenary event I saw several Morgan in the parking lot with a leather(?) steering wheel which was slightly flat at the bottom. But I forgot to check for the brand name.
I would appreciate any pointer to more information on such a steering wheel.
best regards
Wilhelm

I expect what you saw was an offset wheel --i.e. one of the spokes shorter than the other so that the top of the rim still allows a proper view of the instruments and the bottom gives more room to those of us with "the fuller figure"!!!!!!

I have had one on my last car -- it was made by Moto lita www.moto-lita.co.uk/

Cheers

Hello Robbie,
thanks for the hint... I checked both websites, but I could not locate the one you are talking about. Do you remember by chance the product name?

Wilhelm - you will have to submit your request on the moto lita site under custom requirements -- it is however a pretty standard request. Steve got it for me --I will be in his place on Monday next and can firm up if you like, but an e-mail to him should work too

cheers!

Hello Robbie,
hmmm... what I actually saw was a leather steering wheel, not a wooden one like the MotoLita. I don't think it was custom made.

Wilhelm,
I had a leather rimmed one, but I believe they will make whatever you want. I will ask Steve tomorrow when I am in his place. I'll let you know after Wed when I get back-- Collecting my new +4 TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!

Robbie,
There is a very nasty rumour circulating in South East Wales that Newtown Motors showroom burnt down last night. All stock was destroyed sick2

See you tomorrow- and don't eat all the biscuits!

Cheers

Twas good to meet you GLLHG I had a great few days "over the pond" Elasticated door pockets installed by Steve Simmonds (Fantastic Job!) got one of Steve's new steering wheels (much nicer than the wood rim IMHO) and put 450Kms on the car!! Arrived home yesterday and the grin is firmly pasted to the face!!

I must say that I have gotten really excellent service from Newtown Motors - Peter collected me from the plane and sorted all my little requests. He then called me today to check everything was OK --you can't beat that!

Cheers!
