Richard, Excuse me for asking a naive question: I have a 2001 4/4, and I have never found any battery cutout for it. My battery is under the bonnet rather than behind the passenger seat. Do some MOGs NOT have a cut out switch?

Glenn, Not all come fitted my 2009 4/4 Sport didn't come with one but the battery was near the back axle on the passenger side. I fitted one as I like the safety of isolating the battery when working on the car and of course it immobilises it. I think it is the earlier one's that come ready fitted my 1994 had one and my present one has. I'm pretty sure there are isolaters available that fit directly on the battery terminals for your under bonnet one. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/261668224...80&ff14=122No such thing as a naïve question on here which makes it such a great learning tree, ash of course.

Ok so I added it, but my 1930 car has a battery isolator. Hidden from view as it's not period. Additionally, although it's a handy thing, it does little for the security as the battery is not needed for starting or running - it's magneto ignition.
