Thank you a lot, Stewart, what a lovely film, that was the year when I was guest in a very sincere London family in Bexleyheath for two weeks when participating a pupil exchange scheme. And this was the year I became aware of Morgans at all! (in Germany).
BTW I already knew the music of Pink Floyd (which was not too comercial at that time...Ummagumma and the like) and I asked my guest parents about them. They looked really shocked... what a bad influence PF would mean to me ...those long haired hippies...but their rehearsal room was not far away of the block where my gust family lived they told me...but no chance to go there.

If you listen to the interview with Peter Morgan, he says the bevel box of the old 3wheeler was more expensive than a live axle of a 4wheeler at the time...and he named it as one reason why the 3wheeler was not longer in production. So he was aware how important and savety related the bevel box is/was.

It may have been 'a competition breeds cost reduction' sort of thing. The bevel box was a custom piece for Morgan, while an axle was a commodity, made by many, and available to Morgan for a competitive rate.
Cheers,

I agree but today the bevel box (as an example) of the new 3wheeler, I think, is as well a custom made piece because no one else could use it for any purpose. The only question is how much priority has been given to the quality/durability/safety or, if they have different goals, how cost effective is it to make it last for some months. What I want to say is that Peter Morgan demonstrated responsibility when he quit the production of the 3wheeler if the costs of a quality part had dictated it. Ok, perhaps no one wanted a 3wheeler in 1975 which is another significant reason not to build her any longer.

......And here's me thinking that I'd already viewed all of the note-worthy Morgan Motor Car company u-tube videos featuring accurate vintage content. Stewart, thank you for helping provide me with my own "happy traditional cold and wet Thursday evening!" *Cheers*

Seeing the joiners in the woodwork shop reminded me when as a kid I used to try to use my father's Yankee (spiral ratchet) screwdriver for the various failed go cart and raft projects that I had on the go
Lots of slippages, scratches, swearing and hurt fingers
It's difficult to imagine going a job now without a hand held cordless power tool
