why is that folks who are not ARP4 owners making a much bigger deal of this than folks who are ARP4 owners? Because it may hit us next time too when we get an other Mog. Owning a M3W I am quite experienced in bad quality deals.

How many unoccupied vehicles are involved in accidents, they are news items often,."owner crushed" "child killed". If this is a problem with your undelivered car, Don't accept it. If you already have the vehicle, contact the dealer and tell him to collect the vehicle and fix it. All quite simple. I would not accept this crap from any dealer. Wake up MMC and get your act together. I would go public in a very big way.

It struck me that the non ARP4 owning Morgan community on here were showing support for the new owners which IMHO is the right thing to be doing in our small brotherhood .
My 2009 4/4 Sport handbrake cable lasted 2 years due to a manufacturing issue and cost £300 to get replaced and in 24,000 mls I never went anywhere without my 2"X 2" chock.
Not needed in my 17 year old one as it has a proper cable.
Not to worry guys here are a couple of suggestions as yet to be Type approved.

I repeat that MMC have to face up to this but please STOP this histeria. The 50 ARP4's are not about to cause death and destruction throughout the world. Calm down and let MMC resolve.

Regrettably, there are 2 threads going on about the same subject, can they please be combined?

Please accept my apologies, I've deleted my post.
I didn't realise ARP4 ownership was a pre-requisite to posting on the forum.
Shades of the M3W forum in the early days.
Put your post up Mike and air your views. I'm eagerly awaiting the delivery of the first S5 Aero 8s and inevitable downpour to see if what must be a £90k car is actually watertight. Unfortunately part of the charm and charisma I seek from a car is neither snow or rain on the inside and a handbrake that actually works, but maybe I expect too much! I won't be rushing to put a deposit on an Aero until I know it's water tight.

And more, to make the point about "safety" and "legality" and "insurance", surely it can be CONVINCINGLY argued that in any emergency where main brakes have failed almost nobody would have the time, or the wit or the wherewithall to use the handbrake to bring the car to a halt. Indeed has anyone here ever done so? Ken don't know if you follow rallying, but a lot of the braking is done purely on the handbrake.
.+8 Now gone for a 1800 4/4. Duratec in bright yellow.
