Mine are rubbish - and they were new last year (3,000km ago).

Any ideas on how to get a better contact on the glass? To avoid eternal smearing?

Mine are fantastic - they just make me and the family laugh, seeing three little wipers going backwards and forwards

Rubbish at cleaning the screen mind you!

If I drove more in the wet, I'd definately have a look at RainX

Pehaps it needs to be explained that Morgan wipers do not clear the rain they merely redistribute the water on the windscreen.
Seriously I got 10" replacements & cut them down - Europaspares. They work reasonably well. Some would query why you take a Morgan out in the rain - but I do and commend all others who do the same.
1000 dry miles per year PAH! - I run more than that!!

My only real advice is to use Autoglyms glass polish both on the screen and on the wipers after a clean

I think it does make a bit of a difference - glass and the rubber can get quite greasy

Rain X doesn't work well on a flat screen. All it does is show you how much the slipstream scrambles around on the glass.

So its not simply my car poking fun at me. What possible use are the wiper jets then - they send beautiful thick arcs of windscreen cleaner onto the screen - only for the wipers to go "and WTF do you expert us to do with this" - as they apply a thin layer to the entire windscreen and dare you try and figure out what is in front of you.

Useless things.

My no longer leaks (from the front). It will dribble slightly from the rear of the targa panel centre join onto the rear bulkhead.

Julian@holden.co.uk has just sent me three 8ins 040.508 wipers at approximately £44 delivered.

Slightly chunkier than originals from Morgan - but said to be a better wipe?

Cheers

Another tip I can pass on to maybe help is to use an aerosol high alcohol content glass cleaner before the glass polish

Autoglym do make one but it's hard to find as most shops just stock their Fast Glass which is pretty poor and no better than a household glass cleaner, smears quite badly and takes a lot of elbow grease to get the residue off

All my professional glaziers use an aerosol glass cleaner and paper towels rather than a cloth - much, much better and quicker and cuts through any build up on the glass
