At a classic cars event this weekend I discovered a wonderful Jaguar E Type 12 cylinders. It was totally restored / rebuilt in the end of the 1990s. Looks hillaroius - but after the restore the car has only be driven for 6000 miles. What a pity!

That's only 6 cylinders, DOHC. Most regard that as a better engine...
Looks stunning though (even though I'm not a fan of red).
Good looking Kharman Ghia off to the left in the first photo, and possibly a Toyota 2000 in cream in the second?

Looking good in red, guess is used primarily as a show car.

I wonder how the current F type will compare in 30 or 40 years time.I suspect it may well be viewed in the same way because its certainly as good looking IMO.

Great to be able to look in an engine bay and be able to see around things!

I wouldn't want to have to keep on top of an E Type engine bay. Lots of painted metal, poor access, and lots of nooks & crannies.

It would drive me mad.

As an owner Dave, I can assure you that you are absolutely correct.
Although they are the most beautiful car ever made, they are hard mistresses.

Great cars, mad as badgers.

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.
