Whilst slithering around under my car attempting to resolve my brake issue I was surprised and disappointed at the extent of corrosion on some of the lighter metal fittings. In particular the frame holding the battery and that at the bottom of the wood panel behind the seats.

I can't believe that I am Robinson Crusoe, with this problem, especially when the Sydney climate is more benign than in the UK. Advice on how to resolve and protect will be appreciated.

That's worrying. I've got the same model/year so I'll take a look and report back. I've not noticed any rusty cars, even around Nelson bay where I stay a couple of months each year,

I'll take a look at mine when I get back to the farm and let you know. All was good at the last inspection.

If you went under most modern cars you'd be surprised at the amount of rust you'd find.
