I have just been told by an absolutely reliable source that the brakes on my 4/4 (2000 car) are off a Ford Transit Van!
Best yet, I think?

Much better!
I'm just very glad that on the 4/4 I replaced my original discs and calipers with AP Racing calipers and discs.

My all time favourite: Air filter box on the Zetec E engined 4/4s is off an Austin Maestro - and turned upside down to fit!
G Did they go around all the scrap car dealers, err, sorry reconditioned parts suppliers  , to find them??? I must ask Greg about that when I next see him... Cheers,

G If they stop a loaded Transit, they should have no problem with a Mog, without or without 2 weeks luggage  Cheers,

Graham, The Maestro air filter housing. At the same time, can you ask him why they have not only fitted it on its side but, more importantly, put it on back to front so that the outlet is now the inlet etc ( 'Cos when Andy Jackson at ITG looked at the system on my car he swore that was what they'd done!!) That brings back memories Rbt -- "Instantaneous fuel consumption"!!!!!! I had one from 1986-1988!! Mind you the one I had was a good car and I enjoyed it -- it went when I got a company car.

The Maestro air filter housing. Cheers Hehe, Well Greg's answer was "Haven't a clue, though we did use an old air filter housing a while ago - no idea what it came from...". Transit brakes? Certainly Austin Princess brakes were used at one stage (another big heavy motor, so should be no problem stopping a Mog!) - just hope Mogs were not painted in the same s**t brown that many Princesses 'enjoyed' all those years ago  !
