Nice graphics   Is it an optical dilusion or is the bottom edge of the bonnet scoop actually very close the the top of the mudguard? If it is as close as it looks i would be worried about contact on a hard bump.

Yes!  I had a look at mine and from that angle the dip behind the top of the mudguard disappears.
