Depends if you trust the Guardian. I don't trust the Guardian any more or less than any other newspaper, but in this case they are reporting on research carried out by these people , the UK Energy Research Centre, who are well respected.

There's something odd in UK politics. Just read this and it's so unbelievable that I have to ask, like Jays, if what the Guardian reports is true. Because if it is I think some Tory MEPs are out of their minds. Or is it a case of tactical "blame it on Brussels" behaviour? http://www.theguardian.com/business/2016...steel-industry?

I think they've gone mad, Mario. The Chinese are placing massive tariffs on our steel, and dumping theirs on our markets but the Tories are so besotted with the Chinese that they are afraid to take a stand. Is a good job our EU compatriots have a bit more backbone!
If the Chinese want market economy status, they need to play by the rules.

If the Chinese want market economy status, they need to play by the rules. You make a good point. If we exit are the people in place to build and sign our future trade agreements sufficiently capable of driving the deals we will need to flourish independently?

It's effectively a war on specialised manufacturing business. The Chinese know that steel making is a strategic necessity and without that facility, any country is weakened.
