The "GTN"'s were the run out Series 1 Aero 8's
They were nominally named after the two cars that ran in the British GT Championship in 2003 and the colour scheme was adopted from the Richard Thorne Motorsport car (that I prepared and engineered) and the factory Le Mans car.
The GT stands as ever for "Grand Touring" and the "N" denoted that they were nominally showroom spec, "Group N" has traditionally been a production class in both racing and rallying, although the class structure has been revised of late.
The cars were fitted with the 4.6 Alpina X5 engine, and had black wheels and a hardtop

I saw a fabulous metallic green version at at the racing car show (I think), I wonder what happened to that. Or was that a GT3 version? it was a few years ago.

That was the prototype
It was essentially a mock up

It had a one piece bonnet cowl and wings, which now reside on the wall at the Revolutions dealership in Perth
