Lovely sunshine trip today to Buckfastleigh, Dartington where I passed two Italian registered Jag's one an early E type open and following an XK150 both immaculate in BRG and waving like mad. On to Kingsbridge and back via Slapton Line just what Morgan's are made for.
This week an old friend of mine has had to sell his immaculate 1965 MGB as he has arthritic hands and could no longer put the roof up amongst other jobs. He has got himself a very nice deep metallic blue MX5 a 53 plate with 40K on it and immaculate, just one more reminder that we must get on with the adventures now.

Just a short ride up from Derby this morning. Pleasant sunshine so a nice run home. 615 miles in the week and have begun some serious cleaning.

Lovely tour through the Mendips.
Interesting to note that the two MGBs we saw (hoods up) were pressing on at a pace beyond that which was sensible on a single track road. Not a glimmer of a wave or smile. The two late model Capris we saw smiled and waved.
Also saw a really smart Escort RS1600 in Wells - very well restored and painted.
Now enjoying G&T number 2.

Drove from Eton to Windsor and saw another Plus 8 - HR65 ??? in the High Street, it had a suitcase on the rack so was obviously on tour. Anyone from TM? On to Dachet and then a circular route back to Bracknell so that Crunchie could do some fettling on my car - he has a better toolkit and is better at it too! From there another circuitous route through Marlow to Downley to visit daughter, SIL and grandson - who loves all cars and briefly followed a much earlier Plus 8 - double whammy! As I left their home it started raining heavily, as hood down but new tonneau fitted as it was nice and sunny when I started out, so it was A404M and M4 home to avoid getting soaked - Windsor Great Park:

Brian, you've just reminded me of the time when I lived in Downley for 10 months after graduating from Bucks college in 1990 Fond memories of driving around the Chilterns
