Is it true that Aero 8 production has stopped? If so will there be a new model to fill the price gap between the Roadster and the Supersport?

Aero 8's were still in build last Wednesday when the TM team descended on the factory. One likely 'filler' will be the Supercharged Roadster which is predicted to be somewhere around £50k.

My personal view is that 'something else will come up'.

I asked and 8 more aeros are scheduled for build this year and at that point production ends.

As I understand it no direct replacement is planned and Supersport production will replace the aero production.

What's around the corner? Well only MMC can tell us that.

I think it will look like an Aero Supersport at the back but have a new front end design, new suspension and a new engine from the BMW range......

I spoke to MMC and Roadster supercharged option is £6000 + VAT. They also said that a model to sit between the Supersport and the Roadster is likely but not for a while.

Hmm. So the Aero is set to become a rare beast indeed with around 1000 (or probably less given the erratic nature of the serial numbers) produced.

The S4 will remain pretty rare, but not as rare as a Series 2 RHD.

There is an intermediate roadster (lovely, but not an aero) to 'fill the gap'. That assumes there is a gap and therefore a new potential model.

Supersports remains in production (yum) but at 130k it's a lot to spend compared to an S4.

I still want a GT3 car for the road though.

what I would really want is a Trad with modern suspension all around, more comfy and better behaviour on road

Less likely to split the petrol tank as well - current problem with mine.

Waiting to see how keen a ‘guillotine’ the factory use regarding the end of the warranty period…

You then need to talk to Rob Wells at Librands. He had a trad with wishbone susp on the front and some fancy linkage at the rear at Steve Simmonds place during the Centenary. It looked very fancy, but also V Expensive!!! He said it was a development for retro-fitting to trads!
