I think Somerset Maugham summed it up most neatly. He described Monte Carlo as "a sunny place for shady people" Or maybe he was talking about the French Riviera as a whole; it is however particularly apt for Monaco.

I've always thought of it as the most expensive council estate in the world. Ghastly place - I think I'd rather pay my tax than live there.

I would never knowingly pay my own money to stay in any City......

Just not my cup of tea at all.

Been there several times, stayed there for three nights on one occasion. For me I think it was once a lovely place totally spoiled by ostentatious displays of wealth, a good deal of it stolen from ordinary people by tax avoiders.

Having said that I can recommend a visit to the Acquarium Musée océanographique de Monaco

The race however was brilliant and I strongly sympathise with Ricciardo who was undoubtedly robbed of a victory by a total stuff up in the pits. I have pretty much given up on F1 but it was a rainy afternoon.

I was completely split, wanting both Lewis and Ricciardo to win but with a leaning towards our Aussie mate. Lewis paid him the right complement "one of the best I've ever raced against."

Just returned from France.
Drove down to Nice, set off last wednesday, arrived in Nice Saturday morning.
RACE WAS INCREDIBLE
Set off back Monday morning, just got home.

The last F1 I went to was at Brands Hatch in the mid eighties. Always wanted to go to GP in Monaco, the current wife bought tickets for my significant birthday.

I'm hooked.

I've been told that so many times!!!!!
I can't afford to get rid of her now, it'd cost me a fortune, I can only hope she doesn't get fed up of me……….
