Pleased to say parked in the Lake that was once works car park my Roadster is dry as a bone on the inside did get a wet bonce on the way in though with roof off. You could say ctccc is still holding up and was worth its weight in gold

That's a great picture Perry, with a real 30's atmosphere to it, the setting, the colour hue on the image all combine nicely smile

Eleven hours in the saddle albeit on nice green Morgan leather. Helen and me did not arrive at Castellane until 4.30 pm both damp and exhausted. (420 miles approx)
Four years since we came here last, and all is well, with a friendly welcome at the gate.
We started out from Chioggia at 5.30am hoping to get the leg completed by early afternoon but Padua once again set us a problem, due to a couple of missed turns. Verona, Brescia, Milan, Tortona and Genoa were later passed without incident along the autoroutes. The coastal E80 was jammed due to an accident causing a wait for clearance. This section has notoriously expensive service stations best avoided.
Heading north onto the Route Napoleon and through Grasse the weather closed in and soon the drive became an obstacle course avoiding standing and flooding water.
Most of the motorcyclists normally riding this way were seen to be holed up in the roadside cafes. Lightning flashed and vision became a problem slowing down the pace. The cabin stayed reasonably dry, since neoprene strips were fitted to the side screen edges, and door jams closest to the windscreen.
On startup earlier it was noticed that the orange fault light had self cancelled. Came on descending the high road earlier in the week, presumed due to long descent. Also seen to right itself has been the mileometer trip LCD. Prolonged warmth beneath the dash seems to have dried out moisture from a previous washer tube leak long since fixed.

Yes, nothing so adventurous as moggo but went up the farm for some eggs and ended up being 2 hrs tootling around. Most enjoyable.
The car seems to be improving with the miles, still smooth and rattle free. I can't quite understand why others moan about the ride and handling etc, to me it seems fine as it is, or perhaps I was just lucky!
No chance to wave at anyone driving anything interesting though, where are they all on a sunny evening, stuck in carpeted garages maybe?

Driven the Roadster up to Cumbria for a long weekend. Worth putting up with bad wheel shimmy for the trip. Caught up with a Belgium registered car on tour yesterday near Carnforth and another last night near Ulverston,

the +8 looks stunning.
I did the trip to Coombe mill & back for a fun morning about 45 mins out 1 hr back.

Filled up the car and saw over 31 mpg, I must be getting lazy on the old right foot as the running avg is 27.5

Half way to Burton Bradstock and the Fossil Mog Mid Summer Gathering it started to rain. Between Dorchester and Bridport the cloud was down on the hill and we drove in fog....

At the Hive carpark there was a good collection, 60 or so Morgans: we chatted in the Gazebo during the worst of the rain.
Grabbed an excellent breakfast at the Beach Cafe, talked a bit to a few familliar faces, Strwart, Adrian and others.

Left in a heavy "shower" and came home in the rain.
I now have a filthy car! mad
