If all else fails,I'd pop open the bonnets, and get someone to use the hose pipe with running water(not high pressure), directing water around windscreen/bulkhead area, while you look under the dash for actual leaks!!!

ps try keep water away from electrics of course...

...use the hose pipe on either passenger or drivers side first, run the water for 5-10 minuntes and wait for another 10-15 minutes for any telltale signs of water sippage..hopefully this should narrow down the problem area confused2

John; My 4/4 leaked there and it was traced to the washer tube top where it meets the washer. It was cured with a drop of bostik around the screws. I have another solution on my plus4 to prevent the ingress of water through the top louvres - two under bonnet shields. Meabh.

Hi, I had water coming in around the wiper mountings and dripping on the tunnel. Sealant around the wipers cured it

Another point from my to-do list before warranty expiration was water infiltrations.

My dealer fixed five places, where water found it's way into the cabin. Great job thumbs

I've only had my '99 +4 for a few weeks, and one of the things that I've managed to get sorted is the water leak when it gets washed!
I applied some adhesive insulating tape over the foam strip that's fitted between the heater box and the bulkhead, which is a bit fiddly without taking the bonnet off, but it seems to have cured the problem.
I intend to make a 'proper' job of it later when I can take the bonnet off and apply a strip of black Duck Tape (in one complete length)and trim it so that it looks OK.
I hope this helps.
Sid

I'm sure Dave W. could give you the correct dimensions and type requirements for neoprene to replace the foam... wink

Hi All,

The wipers were tightened up by my dealer to solve the water dropping onto the transmission tunnel, it seems to have done the job for me.

Cheers
Mark

I have had drips onto my 4/4 trans tunnel too. I have taped the grommet that cables use to go through the firewall and am waiting to see if that was the source. gaffer tape test before final solution. I don't think its the washer jets - the grommet is in a likely spot though as its position seems to be about right.I could look uder the dash while a hose is used as "rain" though.
