Have a poke about through the hole , you are feeling for a grease nipple. A mirror on a stick is also useful. You might have to rock the car backwards and forwards a little to locate it. Then Get some high pressure blue grease from JCB, about £3 per cartridge.

If its rattling you need about 20 pumps from a side lever grease gun. That will sort it out.

After that 10 pumps every 1500 miles or so.

I have done 8000 miles doing this with no problems at all.

Next was to upgrade to the rubberized Centa compensator drive unit
The Centa compensator unit is much better.
Quiet, smooth and seams to handel the stock engine's torque.
I'll be giving it a test with an upgraded 121CI built motor in a couple of weeks

Link to installing the Centa compensator.

Thanks for the advice, I did find a nipple, and once it was at the hole its quite east to get your gun attached.

As advised, the JCB grease is about £3, its in bigger tubes than I expected, I bought three if anyone wants one.

The good news, its 50% quieter it took about 2-3 miles before it started to work, I suspect it was getting "squidged" round its internal gubbins.

Definitely another worthwhile job, that is a doddle to do.

Hi Justin
That's the stuff, my grease gun takes a complete cartridge so no mess.

TM comes to the rescue yet again.
