The Transport Museum near Belfast is well worth a visit as you are interested in things automotive. Allow 2 or 3 hours to view exhibits from virtually all forms of transport.

In Ireland we have rather an interesting history in manufacturing trains, ships, aircraft, tractors, motorbikes, motor cars, racing cars and other vehicles.

I hope you enjoy your visit to Ireland.

Ring of Kerry is a good route.
Also, look up the Gordon Bennett route.
Haven't done itmyself but a possibility when next over there.
