Talk Morgan Forums Morgan Sports Cars Classic Morgans (pre-CX) Heater for +4

I just bought a 1963 +4 that used to live in Hawaii and doesn't have a heater. I live in Massachusetts and would like to be able to drive during the Autumn and Spring without the risk of frostbite. Can anyone recommend a heater to help keep my toes where they belong?

Thanks for the prompt response. I have checked their site and even did a search for "heaters" but no luck. I'm probably missing something though it's a huge site.

Some would say that she should have long legs and wear woolly socks to rub your feet while driving and enjoy a good cuddle when you stop to enjoy the vista.

It's probably cheaper though to get a new 'Morgan Heater' from the factory.

Congrats to your desirable +4. Our older cars had "heaters" similar to those of the Landrovers, completely different from the ones in modern Morgans. I'd try a websearch or ask Melvyn Rutter. In any case the heater should be small enough to fit in the passenger footwell as original or you would have to sacrifice the toolbox on the firewall.

I'll check the web for old Land Rover heaters or maybe the local junkyard. Your Barrelback must be a lot of fun. I just got the 100yrs of Morgan DVD and they feature a couple of the 3 wheelers.

Good luck I know how cold the East coast US can be. I remember being in Salem with the sea frozen. Not fun!

Out of interest, my heater was matrix was blocked and my local radiator man sorted it with heater from and ERF lorry cab, new but shall we say economical
