Whatever you do, Stewart, avoid clothing with a hood. Just like my earlier remark regarding the Morgan hood, it will act as an air scoop. Friend came out with me in a duffle coat. I told him - not advisable. He said "No, no - it's ex-MoD (Navy). Fit for Bridges and Conning Towers." Maybe, but not for a Caterham (at the time), or a Morgan... I was right. I agree with Ray - a goggle jacket for a Fiat 500?  One of the most inappropriate sales promos I have seen.

... I know a couple of people who have reached a husband and wife compromise about sidescreens v no sidescreens. Wife has a screen and husband doesn't - looks, erm, unbalanced.  I'm unbalanced !! I occasionally take drivers side screen off with hood up, if the clouds are a bit threatening. My concern is that it puts stress on the hood itself and I'm sure it has stretched slightly as a result. But it's "only" a car, even if it is one I love. Cheers
