As promised.... smile

1. Move the fog- and back-up-lights.

2. remove screws "1" (there are four) Don't touch "2"

3. remove the number-plate lights and ...gotta be brave for doing this... cut away the upper part scared

4. Install a standard number-plate holder with two stainless steel angles

5. Install one of the number-plate lights. I did it with a piece of aluminum sheet metal.

et voilà roses

Dave eat your heart out!! You have competition!!

Very helpful. It appears that you were able to take the panel right off the car to cut it (Otherwise it would have been even harder to cut it I guess). I am therefore assuming that you were able to get it over the over-rider brackets without removing them then?

Ivo, it looks really good and I like how it tidies up the rear of your car.

Thank you, Simon smile

I never liked the original holder, and I wanted to change it from the beginning. But it took me more than two years before I decided to cut it away. You see... I'm not THAT brave innocent

Sunny Greetings,
Ivo

Thank you smile

I left the panel on the car. Just removed the upper screws (1) pulled it, and cut carefully along it. It worked very fine with the metal saw holder, as seen on the picture.

I had to move them first

Frank regarding your comment - "The Reverse and Fog lights on the Roadster 100 are closer together so a bit more head scratching first."

(Moderator - How do you include the bits from other post in your replies?)

I did read somewhere that we only need 11mm border from the extremeties of the font so it is possible to make your plate narrower if needs be. wink
