Very lucky - and much appreciated. Also got a behind the ropes tour of the Monospar they are restoring in one of the display hangars.
It really is a lovely museum and every indoors looks loved. The Shackleton (outdoors) is being repainted this year - looks like a lot of hard work for the volunteers.
At less than a tenner to get in and just off the A1 / A46 junction it makes a great place for a stop.
You know it makes sense!
