Good day to all Morganeers
As non owner as yet, 7 weeks 'till order time, I have to say that I have read about all the faults on the 3 wheeler.
After careful consideration, I still want one. As I will be exporting the car to Malaysia, there are no service centres.
Most of the routine stuff I can do myself.
The only problem I will have is with the bevel box or the clutch.
Major damage and insurance will have to deal with it.
The closest service centre is in China.

When the car arrives in town I will have to sort out an informed garage for when things go wrong.

I am really looking forward to my car.

One question, does the Nvh kit make the driving experience better?

JOHN.

On the positive side, the M3W is a very simple car to work on mechanically. The engine manual is available to buy from S&S and there's lots of material is available on the forum or through downloads. I wouldn't expect a competent mechanic to have any problems with preparing a car.

The best strategy I've seen so far is to go through all the forum notes and create your own checklist to go through at regular intervals.

Having invested blood sweat & tears into the one you have if not giving up on the whole M3W thing you are going to keep it. Why swap for another & maybe have to go through the pain again? Its not like a tin top you swap for another for the extra gadgets & new shape headlamps.

I don't own a M3W but I have driven one, it was noisy, not very comfortable and top speed was limited by what my eyes could take in the wind - it was absolutely fabulous and one of the best things I have ever driven, and certainly the most fun I have had at relatively low speeds.

One day I will own one, and I will forgive it for everything it does wrong - because it does so much so very right.

Could you expound a bit on differences that may not be obvious?

Mine is still for sale, cheaper than a new one, still new and undrilled in the box! I ordered the factory large screen, so now I don't need it.
You could have it in a couple days. Contact me if you want it, anybody. I will return it if nobody needs one.

I had the NVH upgrade on my 2013 car and it made negligible difference to the noise from the bevel box. New cars have this mounting arrangement as standard.

I had the NVH kit delivered to the dealer but having seen it he declined to fit it at the rate quoted by Morgan. Its a large lump of iron & I don't regret not having it.

Have you made the best choice Draggin? The Morgan screen is not as wide as the Fairbourne one, so has less protection from the airflow for your outer hand on the steering wheel. Your hand will be in the wind and get cold with the Morgan screen. Cosmetically they are very similar, the Morgan one has a better center support bracket maybe but also has black shaded surrounds on the edges for some reason. Having seen both, I prefer the Fairbourne screen but the choice is up to you.

I had the NVH kit fitted to my original 2013 chassis and it made very little difference. My 2015 chassis has it as standard and it's not much better than the original. A lot of effort for not much return I would say.
