John great feedback.

I have to admit to considering fitting them to Cruella after seeing your photos; however, I am firmly in the function before fashion camp when it comes to headlights. Whilst I'll still covet them, I'll keep myself in check by acknowledging that I'm not as much as a daredevil as you grin2

However, in the spirit of disclosure, I am still green with envy over your Mig clock envy

The MIG clock went down well at Williams yesterday as did the turned alloy panel. They are seeing if they can get some of the clocks off ebay!

Not so much of a daredevil...i needed a stiff whisky when I got back last night. I hate fog at the best of times!!

No, they aren't. They do "look the part", but...
If you aren't going to drive in the dark then OK, but for serious night time driving these are not the ones to fit!

The ones fitted by the factory are pretty period! I refitted my Tribars last year as I like the look.....I'll probably switch to my Cibies before my Caramulo trip!

The standard headlamps are poor and benefit from uprated bulbs. I have angel eyes on my Roadster which do look good and give good lighting but I might put Cibies on the new one.
The tribars look fantastic but light output is terrible.

I have a set on my M3W. There is possibly a little more scatter than the cheap plastic originals. The versions available vary in quality, even those sold by Morgan are replicas.
Lucas having ceased trading 20 years ago. I fitted Nightbreakers but avoided the ones on eBay as I didn't want to fit copy bulbs in my replica headlamps oops

Well yesterday my car very nearly failed its MOT due to the Tribar headlights. The light scatter on one was described by the tester as a "blob" He passed it but recommended that I consider replacing them. I've a set of Cibie 180s from Librands with Nightbreaker bulbs which I'll fit.

I've just bought the same set up for Tigger. The Tribars which were on my Gilbern were pre 1990 so presumably original, but still rubbish light output.

Mine are not installed yet. The angel eyes on my Roadster and on Bumble sailed through the MOT and have good output and definition.
