Puzzled! Had a look at mine today and both the exhaust and the tailpipe are welded to the silencer ! Am I missing something?

Yes its normal. They are all like that...

To remove the baffles you have to use a hole saw with a 60cm extension on your drill...

Ah thanks! I'll have a look down my pipe! Rear pipes are shorter than normal so may have a go.

I would start with the front baffle...the rear ones don't look too restrictive and may help in keeping the noise down...

Maybe cats and first baffle to start?

although I'm biased, I'd just go straight to something like the G56 kit - knocking baffles out of the stock exhausts just makes a very loud and nasty noise in my view. YMMV though!

I agree Ringa, but there are two things about the G56 kit which put me off:
1) the silencers are too big, I know they must be that big in order to work properly...but I don't like the look of the car with them fitted frown
2) 1250£ for such a simple exhaust system is a lot of money...

I will probably have to go with a custom exhaust from a local fabricator...

Out of interest what is the price of the Morgan stage 1 kit? The same?
Oh wait - found it - £995.

Plus about £375 or so for the brackets if you want to keep the heat shields.
