Ahem ... back to the OP. Factory removable luggage rack with proper leather luggage and bumbershoot ...
Great look. But wondering if loads on the luggage rack should towards the front so the headrest mounts take more weight than the sucker thing resting on the boot/trunk?
How much total weight would be safe back there i wonder? No instructions came with mt rack, so no clues there. I would definitly get some of those clamps rather than drill through the roll hoops.

^ Then you have to remove luggage to refuel ... plus the rack has a curve, much less at the rear crossbar.
True... needs some designer, tilting luggage
Two thoughts spring to mind: 1. If I am travelling lots with lots on the rack, I really want the filler (or an additional filler) fitted on the side.
2. Maybe Morgan should think outside the box and offer different boot(trunk) profiles as options. You'd want a taller one for touring. Or maybe a delivery van box for going to work in :))

There's some room in the boot, a couple of soft bags would fit nicely. Passenger footwell. I wouldn't put more than 30 lbs on the rack. As for drilling two little holes in the roll hoops, no problem. My head is a good 4 inches over the roll hoops so they're more decorative anyway ...
