I'd considered a roll bar for my previous 4/4 and was about to ask Williams to fit one. Luckily I tried sitting in a customers car with one fitted and found that my head came perilously close to it. Fine for competition wearing a helmet but in a road shunt could do serious harm not good.

The Librands one sits lower and further back so that aspect isn't an issue although how effective it is in a rollover I'm not sure. It does stiffen up the chassis though.

In theory they're a great idea, but as Jays says, you head is close, or in my case touching the bar. I also found that it restricts the amount of adjustment available for the seat, and being long (!!), its a problem.

I agree that a in a high speed roll there is a possible question re protection with the Librands but a better chance in a " topple" at lower speeds.
In our car the critical line from cowl to rollbar is ok for head clearance. The Librands is rearward leaning too so no head issues...the head restraint on the seat is still effective.
The chassis is stiffer, noticeable more when reversing off the drive onto the road...no chassis flex now with the rollbar compared to pre rollbar. The car feels more planted when driving too.
My seat is set back to maximum and not affected by the rollbar, it has lost 1" approx travel due to being lowered off the wooden runners and hits the bottom of the wheel arch. I could take the corner off the seat to regain this but not necessary, I am happy with the seat distance. The passenger seat is not lowered but still has no head issues even when back fully.
