Had a cup of tea and a digestive, no hobnobs unfortunately.
The connector block that doesn't have the speaker wires does have a red, presumably 12v, feed, the black ground lead and three others. I have tried various combinations, there aren't that many, but still no power and not even a blown fuse to indicate I was getting close.
I suppose the three options are that the power isn't connected, the radio is faulty or I am even more inept that I thought, although I did manage to fit an Alpine Head unit in my previous Morgan.
Reassured that the block connectors should work I will get the car along to my local garage and they can see where the issue lies.
Peter I have followed your previous posts with interest on the DAB/FM splitter and have one ready to go, when everything else is working.
Thank you everyone for your advice and help.

Normally this "DIN" connector should have all cable, but some unit need a separate power (always on) it's mainly for the unit require high-power (aka: lot of watts), if you want to be sure your "din" have power made a simple 12V tester with a bubble light with duct tape that should do the trick.

Before try on the DIN, check in the battery if the light turn on your "tester" it's ok go ahead better to look only for the + in the DIN mean grab the - in somewhere on the metal of the car (eventually try the ground of the antenna) , if you have power in the din two option faulty unit (or unit fuse broken) or no ground but usually the ground from the antenna do the job.

Voila voila

here you have the DIN CONNECTOR PLAN

Cheers for that I may well take you up on your kind offer. Tomorrow I will pop back to the place where I got the radio just to check that its OK and either eliminate that as a source of the issue or get a replacement.

Well the question has been answered. The problem with no power to the radio was down to my incompetence and nothing to do with the radio or the Morgan wiring. Took the radio back to the shop who had a look and said 'have you connected these' answer no, so got home and fitted everything this afternoon.
DAB radio is brilliant as is the bluetooth and usb connection.
Apologies to Morgan for thinking it was them and many thanks to everyone for pointing me in the right direction.
In case anyone is concerned please don't worry, I don't do my own servicing!

At least it's sorted thumbs

Bad news on the biscuits though, but if you fancy a pint, a couple of us are meeting at Much Marcle on Wed.

I have music in my Morgan. For some strange reason, the factory seem to have placed the speakers inside the exhaust tailpipes.
